All-On-Six Implant Treatment in Antalya
Everything You Need To Know About All-On-6 Implants
Do you suffer from missing teeth and you’re looking for a more permanent solution than dentures? Consider All-On-6 implants…
What are “All-On-6” Dental Implants?
All-On-6 is a common type of dental implant treatment which offers a permanent solution to missing teeth. Implant treatment is the process of inserting a screw-like artificial titanium tooth root into the mouth, and attaching a prosthetic tooth (the prosthesis) onto it, in order to permanently fix the problem of missing teeth. In All-On-6, six implants are placed in each jaw before attaching a prosthesis onto them.
On the same day the implants are inserted, a temporary prosthesis is installed so there is no loss of tooth function. After the healing process, you can have a permanent prosthesis attached on the upper jaw after 12 weeks, and as little as 5 weeks on the lower jaw. This permanent prosthesis can last a lifetime, unlike regular dentures which have to be replaced often.
All-On-6 is a highly successful treatment technique for patients suffering from multiple tooth loss in one or both jaws. The treatment is an especially good solution for those with low bone density in the jaw, as the implants will help to strengthen the jawbone.
Thanks to All-On-6, anyone suffering with missing teeth can permanently resolve the issue in one day with a single procedure. All-On-6 provides a simple solution to functional problems caused by missing teeth, such as eating and drinking, as well as aesthetic concerns. Modern prostheses have a natural appearance and cannot be distinguished from the original teeth; in fact they often improve appearance as the patient can choose the colour and form of the new teeth.
All-On-6 was created as a response to people with missing teeth who don’t want to use removable dentures which have to be removed and replaced. All-On-6 offers a permanent, durable, fixed set of teeth, which also look great!

What’s the All-On-6 Process at Mastery Dental Clinic in Antalya?
1) Consultation: Correct planning of the treatment is extremely important. During an initial consultation, your dentist will assess your suitability for All-On-6 treatment, and measurements will be taken of your teeth and jaw structure
2) Plan: A treatment plan is designed in line with your needs and expectations. The entire process is explained to you in detail, and an appointment schedule is set for the treatment
3) Operation: During the All-On-6 surgical procedure, you will be given a local anaesthetic. A total of six titanium implants are placed in the jawbone. A temporary prosthesis is then attached to the implant. This is more lightweight than the permanent prosthesis, in order to help the patient during the healing process.
4) Recovery: After the operation, natural results such as bruising may be observed, but these bruises will disappear in a short time. Your dentist will give you detailed information about what kind of diet you should adopt during the healing process, before a permanent prosthesis can be installed.
5) Maintenance: Following the end of the treatment, the dentist will check in with the patient at certain intervals to ensure that there are no complications.
Is All-On-6 a Risky Procedure?
As with any other surgical operation, All-On-6 does involve some risks. However, the number of patients experiencing complications due to All-On-6 treatment is very low. Factors which can influence the success of the procedure include the professional experience and competence of your dentist, and the quality of the implant brand used.
The following are some complications that may arise and how to avoid them:
Infection
If you do not follow the post-treatment instructions given by your dentist, you may develop an infection which could cause the treatment to be unsuccessful. Always pay attention to your dentist’s recommendations.
Nerve Damage
If nerves are damaged during implant placement in the mouth, there may be some negative consequences, such as numbness in the lips and cheeks. It is extremely important that the surgeon who will perform the procedure is qualified and experienced.
Sinus Complications
It is important for your dentist to consider the sinuses, cavities in the facial bone structure, when inserting implants. In some cases where people have had missing teeth for a long time, the sinus cavity sags downwards and the bone structure is weakened, which can lead to complications with the All-On-6 treatment. This problem can be fixed with a sinus lift (see FAQs below). A competent dentist, such as Dr Yıldırım at Mastery Dental Clinic, will always check for this complication during the initial consultation.
All-On-6, along with other dental implant treatments, has a high success rate. However, it is important to choose a qualified and experienced dentist working in good clinical conditions to avoid any chance of complications, rather than choosing the clinic based solely on the price. Mastery Dental Clinic has an extremely high success rate for All-On-6, so if you choose us you can rest assured you’re in safe hands
Why Choose All-On-6 instead of All-On-4?
All-On-6 is slightly more expensive than its counterpart, the All-On-4 technique. This is purely due to the number of implants used (6 in each jaw rather than 4). However, All-On-6 offers many advantages compared to All-On-4:
→ Stability
The main advantage of All-On-6 is that more implants means increased stability of the tooth prosthesis in the mouth. This means there is a greatly reduced risk of problems such as removable, poorly retained, constantly protruding and falling prostheses. These complications can severely impact patients’ quality of life, and All-On-6 helps to avoid them. It offers a stable, robust and comfortable use of the prosthesis in the mouth – plus it looks great!
→ Strength
Using more implants gives extra strength to the jawbone, meaning that chewing and speech function exactly like natural teeth.
→ Fast and Practical Treatment
All-On-6 procedures can be completed in a single day, just like All-On-4. A fixed temporary prosthesis is attached on the same day, meaning no loss of tooth function during the healing process before the permanent prosthesis is attached.
While the cost of All-On-6 may be slightly higher when compared to All-On-4, this is cancelled out for foreign patients coming to Antalya for their treatment. Clinics in Antalya can offer All-On-6 treatment at much more affordable prices than their counterparts in other countries, with no loss in the expertise and professionalism of the dentistry. For low prices and high success rates, Antalya can’t be beaten.
What are the Similarities and Differences Between All-On-4 and All-On-6?
Similarities between both procedures:
- Individuals with partial or total tooth loss can have a fixed tooth prosthesis on the same day with a single surgical procedure.
- It is planned on a patient-specific basis.
- Dental implants require easier cleaning and maintenance than fixed dentures.
- It offers an ideal solution for patients who have difficulty using removable dentures due to the nausea reflex
- It has a different design compared to full dentures, also known as palates.
- The number of sessions is small. For this reason, it is frequently preferred by patients residing in different countries.
- Differences between both procedures:
- Additional surgeries such as sinus elevation, bone augmentation, etc. cannot be used in All-On-4. All-On-6 is more suitable in cases of low bone density and volume, and more long-term or severe cases of missing teeth
- Because more implants are used, All-On-6 offers more stability of the prosthesis in the mouth, and more strength for chewing
- With All-On-4, if even one of the supporting implants is lost, it is no longer possible to continue using the existing fixed prosthesis. A new implant will have to be inserted and a new prosthesis will have to be made, meaning more time and money lost.

FAQ
In rare cases, All-On-6 is not suitable for some patients. In the initial consultation, the dentist will perform medical examinations to determine the patient’s suitability for treatment, including assessing any chronic disease or unfavourable health conditions.
The role of the patient in looking after their dental health post-treatment is extremely important. You should always use toothbrushes and dental floss as recommended by your dentist, and to see your dentist for regular check-ups.
In some cases where people have had missing teeth for a long time, the sinus cavity sags downwards and the bone structure is weakened. In these cases, sinus lifting is needed before All-On-6 implants can be inserted. In this procedure, the sinus membrane is lifted upwards and materials are placed to encourage bone formation. This makes it possible to place the implants. After sinus lifting, bone grafting may still be required for people with insufficient bone density in the area to be operated on. Bone grafting produces the required amount of bone to support the implants.
Just like after any other surgical intervention, there can be mild pain after the procedure. In some cases, pain may be accompanied by swelling, which is also natural. Your dentist will prescribe painkillers to minimise any pain following treatment.
The most important purpose of the diet during the weeks following treatment is to ensure that the implant and bone fuse together in a healthy way. Your dentist will provide information about the diet that should be followed after the treatment.
